Our LTR Radio System

The LTR radio system is basically a computerized radio repeater system using push-to-talk handheld or vehicle-mounted radios.

These radios cover nearly all of El Paso county by utilizing repeaters and antennas high up on the side of a mountain overlooking Colorado Springs.

Unlike the repeaters in the past,there is no need to monitor the channel for other users before transmitting. Also, there is no need to give any call signs.  The computer takes care of these tasks.

The audio of these radios is usually superior to cell phones and you will have no dropped calls.

When you transmit on these radios it is a group-wide transmission.  That is, all of your people will hear the transmission at the same time and questions can be put to the whole group.
